Calling “Shotgun” on This 21st-Century Trend
To many, a world with autonomous cars seems like a Jetsons-themed dream. Gridlock on highways would become nonexistent as driverless cars steered themselves along and adapted to alternative routes. The surface area of cities would grow since parking would no longer be an issue.
This isn’t a dream life… this is real life, happening right now.
And it’s a huge opportunity for investors.
First, let’s look at the benefits…
- Artificial intelligence’s reaction time is a lot faster than a human’s.
- These unblinking machines won’t be tempted to scroll through Facebook or operate while impaired, so they’ll have fewer accidents.
- Fewer distracted drivers on the roads mean safer drivers, passengers, pedestrians and wildlife.
The sheer number of pros here – and comparatively few cons – make it easy to see why this market is growing at a blistering pace.
The autonomous vehicle market was worth $3 billion in 2015. By 2025, it’s expected to grow to $96 billion – a gain of 3,100% in 10 years.
Automobile makers such as Jaguar, Land Rover, Audi, Rolls-Royce, Chrysler and Honda are just a few of the companies that are developing cars with this technology. Bloomberg reports that the price to add AI to vehicles will range from $2,000 to $10,000.
That price will decline in a range of 4% to 10% in the first 10 years as adoption spreads. And as the price drops, so should the cost to consumers.
Energy and Infrastructure Strategist David Fessler has been following this trend closely. According to him, whether you like it or not, autonomous technology will be the next chapter in automobile history. And within the next five years, it will be more commonplace than your Corolla.
In a recent Energy & Resources Digest article, Dave wrote, “Most major carmakers are less than five years away from having a full or semi-autonomous vehicle. In fact, by 2020, there will be an estimated 10 million autonomous vehicles on the highways.”
Dave recently revealed what he believes to be a promising pick for investors who want to get behind the wheel of this trend. To learn more about the company that could turn every $25 into $161, click here now.
